With the weather (slightly) improving and heating up, I've really welcomed taking a lighter approach to base makeup. I have swapped medium to full coverage foundations for tints. When the weather is really warm, there's nothing worse than feeling heavy makeup on your skin. Two of my recent favourites have been:
NARS Velvet Matte Skin Tint SPF 30 after months of wearing fuller coverage foundation, this is a welcome change. I wear the shade Terre Neuve Light 0. Effortless application, affording weightless texture while offering just the right amount of coverage. A velvet finish that still manages to sit feather light and omit a subtle radiance.
Crème de La Mer The Reparative Skintint SPF 30 in the shade Light 02. I adore this. Essentially flawless skin in a tube. It melts into the skin, imparting a fresh, dewy but polished second skin effect base. A product that enhances rather than completely conceals. This adds life and a light from within glow to a lacklustre Winter worn complexion.
Spring/Summer calls for a more relaxed approach to base makeup. I'm all about a SPF, long lasting concealer and then a tinted moisturiser. These two picks? No makeup makeup at their best.
